Political experience:

  • 40 year member of the Farmington Republican Town Committee
  • Past Vice-Chairman of the Farmington Republican Town Committee
  • Town Council member 2006 to present

Why running:

  1. I have a strong desire to make a difference in the life of others
  2. To initiate change

Primary areas of focus:

  1. As Chairman of the Unionville Traffic Committee, I want to see the implementation of all the projects and changes presented by our committee
  2. Revisit Tax Relief for the Elderly which I introduced 4 years ago

Issues facing the town:

  1. Taxes
  2. Traffic
  3. Revaluation
  4. Neglected and abandoned properties--primarily commercial

How would you propose to address them?

  1. Taxes - Keep spending in reasonable and realistic moderation
  2. Traffic - Continue to keep Traffic Committee intact
  3. Revaluation - Delay 1-2 years to allow property values to rebound; otherwise, mill rate would significantly rise if new reval results in lower assessments
  4. Neglected property - Assess daily fine and enforce collection of same from property owner

Anything else:  My tenure on the Town Council is greater than the combined total of the other five Second  District candidates on the upcoming November 8th ballot. If experience comes with maturity, I'm also the only candidate who will never celebrate another birthday in their sixties. Lastly, and going forward, I will continue to work extremely hard and represent you to the best of my ability. I remain most appreciative and grateful for your confidence in me and would deeply appreciate your very important vote.
