Position Seeking: Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate

Family information: I live at 1 Riverwood Rd at one entrance to the Highlands.  I live with my wife Alexis, and daughters Presley and Paisley.  I have 39 extended family members who live mostly in the Unionville section of town.

Occupation, if applicable: Licensed Professional Engineer, working in the Home Building Industry.  I am a member of a family company which has worked in town for over 30 years.  I am a self-taught residential architect, designing for 16 years.  I am a Certified Green Builder and work in Land Development pushing Low Impact Design and Energy Efficiency.

Political Experience: none

Why are you running for office? Community Service.  I want to give back to the town that drew me here 10 years ago, for the great schools, low tax burden and great quality of life.

If elected, what would be your primary areas of focus? The Zoning Board of Appeals is faced with applications looking for a variance or waiver to certain Zoning Regulation, one needs to use the Town’s Strategic Plan, Plan of Conservation and Development and experienced staff as guidance to make decisions for the benefit of the town.

Anything else you would like to share? I believe that my background adds experience to the board, which would be useful to the other members and  the public.
