Farmington Boys Soccer Honored with Day, Hats at Town Council Meeting

Team and coaches attend Tuesday night meeting in recognition of Class L victory.

PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS, in 2012 the Farmington High School Boys Soccer Team finished the season with an overall record of 16~2~3 and ranked 28th in the NSCAA National High School Ranking, and

WHEREAS, under the leadership and guidance of Head Coach Steve Waters, Assistant Coach Chris Garrahan, and Assistant Coach Dave Conway, the team started the season with a 3~2~3 record for the first 8 games then proceeded to win 13 games in a row, including 5 games in the CIAC Class “L” Tournament winning the Finals over Avon 5~0 at Falcon Field in Meriden, CT on November 23, 2012, and

WHEREAS, the Farmington Town Council hereby recognizes Team Captains Justin Rappaport, Tyler Hoffman, and Danny Manfredi for leading their teammates, and

WHEREAS, the Farmington Town Council also recognizes team members Jeffrey Crook, Daniel Roberts, Evan Hughes, Ben Palazzo, Derek Fern, Joshua Moreno, Bradley Druzinsky, Adrian Sokolowicz, Michael Lathrop, Vasil Borisevich, Kamil Kolacz, Charles deVaux, Thomas Fresher, Matt Sroka, Justin Marsh, Guido Schutz, Evan Peluso, Jared Edelson, Ben Cohn, Cooper Cecil, Mike Feinberg, Jon Mezzonate, Ben Grabowski-Clark, and Colin Cheeseman for the accomplishments they demonstrated over the past several months and for their hard work, dedication, perseverance and love of the sport of soccer, and

WHEREAS, last November the boys soccer season came to a remarkable end after several weeks of sheer sportsmanship and fun for a very talented soccer team and their coaches.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Farmington Town Council, in recognition of the accomplishment of the Farmington High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team, hereby proclaims February 12, 2013 as Farmington High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team Day.
