Council Approves Railroad Avenue Open Space Purchase

Lot 5 to be added to town-owned land.

The Town Council unanimously approved the purchase of Lot 5 on Railroad Avenue Tuesday night, adding the .16 acre parcel to the town-owned open space along the Farmington River in Unionville.

The town will purchase the land from Alexandra Lamarre for $6,000.

Lot 5 is wedged between two parcels, lots 4 and 6, which the town also hopes to buy. Lots 3, 7 and 8 have already been purchased by the town, and The Farmington Land Trust owns additional adjoining property.
