Nearly half a million raised overall.
Democratic candidate for the 5th congressional district seat Chris Donovan (D-Meriden) announced today that he raised more than $250,000 in the third quarter of 2011 and nearly $500,000 since his campaign began about four months ago.
In the third quarter, Donovan collected contributions from nearly 2,500 individual donors. The average donation was $75. Overall, about 3,000 people have contributed to his campaign, according to the release.
"Chris's message is resonating with Connecticut families, and they have responded by taking ownership in the campaign and once again expressing strong support," said Donovan Campaign Manager Joshua Nassi.
