Stephen A. Flis Dedication Ceremony

As a tribute to Mr. Flis, Farmington Town Manager from 1955 to 1985, three former Farmington Town Council Chairpersons have made a request to establish and name the Stephen A. Flis Municipal Common that would encompass all land and buildings that are now composed of the Town Hall, the Library, the High School and the Staples House.  In addition to his commitment as Town Manager for 30 years and as a community leader in the Unionville Water Company after his retirement, Mr. Flis’ outstanding personal service has resulted in significant and enduring contributions to the community.  The Town Council will hold a dedication ceremony to unveil a new sign in honor of Mr. Flis on June 14, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. The ceremony will be held outside in front of the Town Hall weather permitting. The public is invited to attend.
