Farmington Valley Health District Relocating to Canton
The FVHD will move to its new site on River Road July 1.
With its five-year lease at 50 Meadow Lane in Avon expiring, the Farmington Valley Health District is relocating to Canton in July.
Town Manager Brandon Robertson said at an Avon Town Council meeting on Monday that the health district will move to its new office space along River Road in Canton on July 1, the start of the next fiscal year.
Robertson said it will bring substantial savings to the district and the new location "better meets their needs."

The Farmington Valley Health District includes Avon, Barkhamsted, Canton, Colebrook, East Granby, Farmington, Granby, Hartland, New Hartford, and Simsbury.
