Farmington's Zachary Ruh Achieves Eagle Scout Rank

The Town Council will recognize him at its Tuesday, Jan. 14 meeting.

A member of Boy Scout Troop 170 has qualified to be an Eagle Scout.

The Town Council will read a proclamation recognizing Zachary Ruh, of Farmington, for his achievement. 

Ruh's Eagle Scout project "involved construction of an informational kiosk and bench for the Farmington Valley Trails Council," according to the draft proclamation.

He collaborated with the Farmington Valley Trails Council president on the project and "coordinated the donation of needed materials and volunteer labor," the draft proclamation states. 

"As a result of Zachary's work the experience of users of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail and the residents of the Town of Farmington will be enriched and enhanced," the draft proclamation states.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.
