Get Those Taxes In, Farmington!

The deadline is in February.

The following press release was submitted by the Farmington Tax Collector.

Reminder:  Taxes due by February 3, 2014

The Town of Farmington Tax Collector’s office would like to remind residents and business owners that the second installment of real estate and personal property taxes is due by Feb. 3, 2014.  In addition, motor vehicle supplemental bills (for those who were issued a new registration or have transferred an existing registration between Oct. 2, 2012 and July 31, 2013) were mailed on December 27, 2013 and are payable by Feb. 3, 2014.  Failure to pay by Feb. 3, 2014 will result in a 3 percent penalty.  The minimum interest charge is $2.

“We want to be sure all residents are aware of the deadline so that they can avoid penalties,” said Tax Collector Christine Robinson.  “If you’re unsure of what or how much you owe, please contact us so we can help you.”
