Peter S. Carozza, Jr., President, Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut (UPFFA), announced today his endorsement of Mike Demicco in the upcoming election for State Representative.
In making the endorsement, Carozza said, “It is an honor to announce that following the recommendation of the Executive Board, the Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut heartily endorses Mike Demicco for election as State Representative in the 21st Assembly District of Unionville and Farmington. This action was taken after careful consideration of his support for professional fire fighters and his leadership in helping to insure the health and safety of our members and that of our fellow citizens.”
“We believe that professionalism and leadership in the field of public safety is indispensable to the citizens of Connecticut and Homeland Security efforts,” said Paul Rapanault, UPFFA Legislative & Political Affairs Director. “We need strong voices and Mike Demicco is one of those strong voices.”
Demicco, a 4-term Farmington Town Councilman has also worked on state policy issues for three years at the Joint Committee on Public Safety & Security at the state legislature.
The Uniformed Professional Firefighters Association of Connecticut is the state association of the International Association of Firefighters, which represents 60 affiliated local unions in the state, comprising about 4,200 members.
