Rennie: Mike Clark to Withdraw from Race

Farmington's Fifth District Congressional candidate scheduled 4 p.m. press conference.

Farmington's Mike Clark, former Town Council chairman and FBI agent, has scheduled a 4 p.m. press conference to make "a major announcement" about his campaign to take the Fifth Congressional District seat vacated by Chris Murphy.

According to Kevin Rennie, Clark will be announcing his exit from the race. See the article on Rennie's blog, Daily Ructions here.

Mike Clark confirmed his plans to Connecticut Mirror reporter Mark Pazniokas, saying that he would endorse state Sen. Andrew Roraback, a Republican from Goshen, pointing to lack of funding as one factor in his decision.
