Town to Gather for Moment of Silence Friday

Observance coincides with statewide moment of silence one week after Sandy Hook shooting.

The Town of Farmington will observe a moment of silence at the Veteran’s Monument in front of the Town Hall at 9:30 a.m. on Friday morning. The public is invited to join the observance.

Gov. Dannel Malloy is asking the people of Connecticut to observe a moment of silence at the same time - one week after the tragedy that took the lives of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown.
