2013-2014 Athletic Awards Assembly

On Wednesday, May 21, Porter's held its annual athletic awards ceremony. The ceremony honored outstanding performances by teams and individuals during the 2013-2014 school year.

Team Honors:

Varsity Badminton - The varsity badminton team was honored for its undefeated season and victory at the Connecticut High School State Tournament.

Varsity Squash - The varsity squash team was honored for its second place finish in the Founders League.

Varsity Swimming & Diving - The varsity swimming and diving team was honored for its second place finish in the Founders League.

Individual Honors:
All Stars - The following athletes were nominated to represent the school and their team as All Stars:
Field Hockey - Amelia Metz '14 and Banks Dotson '15
Lacrosse - Banks Dotson '15, McKenzie Armington '15, and Liddy Renner '14
Soccer - Courtney Anderson '14 and Sam Plourde '16
Softball - Casey Brantner '15
Volleyball - Dylan Banever '15

Swimmers - The following swimmers were honored as Founders League Champions:
500 Freestyle - Christina Guertin '15
50 Freestyle - Sydni Johnson '15
200 Individual Medley and 100 Backstroke - Celeste Salopek '15
200 Medley Relay: Celeste Salopek '15, Ariel Chu '14, Sydni Johnson '15, and Melania Stepanenko '17
200 Freestyle Relay: Celeste Salopek '15, Christina Guertin '15, Sydni Johnson '15, and Ella Cowan de Wolf '16

Equestrians - The following riders were honored for qualifying for Zones:
