Equestrian Competes at IEA Regionals

Three Porter's equestrians competed as individual riders at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Region 6 Finals, held Sunday, March 2 at Folly Farm Stables in Simsbury, Conn.Catherine Ferri '16 placed 2nd in intermediate over fences, Chloe Rosichan '17 placed 2nd in novice over fences and 5th in novice flat, and Kamille Bernard '17 placed 3rd in novice flat. Based on their performance at Regionals, Catherine and Chloe qualified to advance to the IEA Zone 1 Finals, to be held April 12 at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass.

"I had no doubt any of these girls would ride well and place at Regionals," shares Head Coach Cara Brown. "Chloe and Catherine advancing to Zones is a fantastic bonus!"

In additional to their individual success, the three riders are also members of Porter's varsity equestrian team, which is led by Head Coach Cara Brown and Coach Sarah Boukoms.
