Figure Skater Gart Earns Silver

Sophomore Rachel Gart competed at the 2014 U.S. Sectional Figure Skating Championships, held November 18 through 21 in East Lansing, Mich. Rachel and her partner, Lance Stanley, earned a silver medal in Intermediate Ice Dance and qualified to move on to the 2014 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships, to be held January 5 through 12 in Boston, Mass.

"I am extremely excited to compete at Nationals in Boston," shares Rachel. "This year is very significant in figure skating because it is the 100th anniversary of the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships as well as an Olympic year. Qualifying for Nationals is a great achievement for me and competing in January will be an amazing experience."
