Porter's Swimming off to a great start

Miss Porter's Swimming and diving started off the season with a win againist Hotchkiss. Porter's took 2nd (c. Salopek, E. Wetheimer, A. Chu, S. Johnson) and 3rd (E. Cowan de Wolf, C. Appuzzo, M. Ueda, S. Johnson) in the 200 Medley Relay to start the meet. Next Chrsitina Guertin took first in the 200 Free and Cassie Appuzzo took home second in that event as well.

The Miss Porter's Swimmers continued on to the 200 IM where we took home 1st (Celeste Salopek), 3rd (Emily Wertheimer) and 4th (Marika Ueda). Sydni Johnson took home 1st in the 50 Free with a 25.80, a personal best. Ariel Chu captured 3rd and Caroline Arneet squeaked in at 5th in the 50 Free.
Porter;s continue with a 1st in the 100 Fly (Ariel Chu) and 3rd (Marika Ueda) and 5th (Amelia Metz).

The 100 Free was close. Ella Cowan de Wolf captured second, missing first  by one tenth of a second. Caroline Armett and Emily Weertheimer took home 3rd and 4th in the 100 Free as well.

The Porter's swimmers swept the 500 Free (Christina Guertin- 1st, Ella Cowan de Wolf, 2nd and Cassie Appuzzo, 3rd). The girls also swept the 100 Back (Celeste Salopek, 1st, Sydni Johnson, 2nd, Anjulee Bhalla, 3rd- personal best).

The Porter's 200 Free Relay's placed 1st (C. Guertin, C. Arnett, A. Chu, S. Johnson) and 3rd (A. Baitassova, A. Bhalla, V. Appuzzo, J. Kim). The 100 Breast Porter's places 2nd (Adiana Baitassova) and 4th (Victoria Appuzzo).

The 400 Free Relay was the last event. Porter's end strong with 1st (C. Guertin, E. Cowan de Wolf, E. Wertheimer, C. Salopek) and 3rd (M. Ueda, C. Appuzzo, V. Appuzzo, A. Metz).
