The Fur Trade - Village Lecture Series

Eric Jay Dolin will discuss how the fur trade was not some fringe history about wild mountain men, but one of the key motivating forces in the imperial struggle for the colonies and the westward expansion of the nation. Dolin's most recent book, Fur, Fortune and Empire, was published by W.W. Norton & Company in July of 2010.

The program will be held at the Porter Memorial, Main Street, Farmington and will be followed by a question and answer session, refreshments and social hour.

Lectures cost $10 for adults, $5 for students. Tickets for the entire series are $25.00 for adults and $13.00 for students. For tickets or more information call the First Church of Christ Congregational at (860) 677-2601.
