Evening Activities Canceled at Farmington Schools

All evening activities at Farmington Public Schools after 6 p.m. have been canceled, the district announced. 

That also includes all adult and continuing education classes, as well as the Farmington Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for 7 p.m. 

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory from midnight Jan. 7 through 7 a.m. on Jan. 8. 

Because of the extreme cold, there's a risk of frostbite or hypothermia if you're outdoors for too long, the National Weather Service said.
