Farmington Board of Education to Get Open Choice, Cafeteria Updates Tonight

Meeting will be held at Noah Wallace School.

With the school budget passed on to the Town Council, the Farmington Board of Education will meet tonight at Noah Wallace School at 7 p.m. for its first regular meeting in two months.

During the meeting, the board is slated to hear an update from the superintendent of schools on the district’s participation in the Open Choice program. The superintendent’s memo in the March 11 agenda outlines the many financial incentives the district receives for enrolling Open Choice students.

Currently, Farmington has 97 Open Choice students – 2.3 percent of the student population.
