Farmington High School Ranked 10th in State

U.S. News & World Report ranked FHS 10th out of 195 high schools; 344th nationally.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Farmington High School 10th out of the state’s 195 public, charter and magnet high schools, according to a report released Tuesday.

The rankings are based on the ratio of students to teachers, college readiness (percent taking AP exams and passing), and math and reading test scores.

was also ranked 344th nationally, according to the report, which only rated the schools in the top 20 percent of the state based on its criteria.

On the Connecticut list, neighbory Simsbury is ranked ninth, while West Hartford's Hall and Conard are sixth and second on the list. Avon High School falls at number 13.
