Farmington Schools Are Closed Tuesday

A winter weather advisory is still in effect.

Farmington Public Schools have announced that school will be closed on Tuesday due to inclement weather.

Farmington's EXCL program is "open at the regular time at Noah Wallace Elementary School," according to an announcement from Superintendent Kathleen Greider.

Two to four inches of snow is expected, falling between 7 and 10 a.m. and throughout the afternoon, the bulk of the snowfall landing between late morning and early afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service has declared a winter weather advisory until 5 p.m.

"Accumulating snow will cause slippery travel conditions beginning at the end of this morning's commute," the National Weather Service states in its advisory. "The snow will continue through the day into this evening's commute."
