Farmington Schools Closed Friday

National Weather Service predicts daytime snow of 1 to 3 inches.

Due to the snow, Farmington Public Schools are closed today, Friday March 8. EXCL will be held at Noah Wallace School at the regular time.

In addition to the snow that fell overnight, the National Weather Service is predicting more precipitation will fall before noon, leaving 1 to 3 inches of accumulation. A north wind will be 13 to 18 miles per hour with a high near 39, the service states.

Today's closing makes five snow days. The tentative last day of school was scheduled for June 24 but with five days to make up for, the Board of Education could discuss taking days from April vacation if there are any more, according to Board of Education policy. The next board meeting is March 11 at Noah Wallace School beginning at 7 p.m.
