How Much Will Farmington School Lunches Cost in 2013-14?

The Board of Education approved an increase in lunch prices for the next school year.

Farmington students will pay more for school lunches when they return to school in the fall.

In June, the Farmington Board of Education voted unanimously to to increase school lunch prices by 25 cents, according to Superintendent Kathleen Greider.

"Over the course of the school year, school lunch price data was reviewed that informed the decision to increase lunch prices," Greider wrote in an email to Patch.

In the 2013-14 school year, school lunches will cost:

  • $2.75 at Union School, West District, East Farms and Noah Wallace elementary schools.
  • $3 at West Woods Upper Elementary School and Irving A. Robbins Middle School.
  • $3 for a regular lunch and $3.50 for the premium lunch level at Farmington High School.
