Kindergartners 'Cruise' To Union School In Style

'Officer Joe' provided the service in his police car.

Most kindergarten boys are fascinated by police cars and firetrucks, but few of them get a chance to ride in a real cruiser much less on the way to school.

Ian Trimble and Braedon Black were lucky enough to get that opportunity on Thursday after Ian's parents won the ride as an auction item at the Taste of Union, a PTO fundraising event, in March.

Officer Joseph Capodiferro, or Officer Joe as he's known at the school, picked up Ian and his friend Braedon at the Trimbles' home on Hendrickson Lane and chauffeured them to school along with K-9 dog Drak.

Both boys said it was fun to ride in the police car.

"We got to hear the sirens," Ian said.
