Special Education Teachers Unite Everyone in Farmington

Public invited to attend a free show

There is something wonderful going on at Irving Robbins Middle School in Farmington. 

Special education teachers, Daryl Kagan and Katie O’Brien, have built a unified theater program at the middle school, the Hartford Courant reports. 

The program originally began in West Hartford, but in Farmington there are 15 seventh and eighth graders involved in the program that has all students working together.

There are dance numbers and even sign language is performed, the Courant reports. 

The teachers tell the Courant that the program helps bring everyone together.

The public is invited to attend a free show Friday, June 13 at 5 p.m. at the middle school, which is located at 20 Wolf Pit Road.
