Trout Unlimited Meeting

Farmington Valley Trout Unlimited will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 2, 2011, at the Stonewell Restaurant on Route 6 in Farmington. 

Experienced guide Marla Blair will give a presentation on The Best Local Rivers of Western Massachusetts.  She will discuss equipment, the flies to use and the best times to fish these rivers.

Admission is free, everyone is welcome and food and drink are available.

The mission of Trout Unlimited is to preserve and protect cold water fisheries which include the Farmington and Pequabuck Rivers, Salmon Brook, and many smaller streams which support trout and salmon.  The Chapter’s projects include stream bank and flow restoration, river cleanups, the “Trout in the Classroom” program and fishing derbies for children.
