Farmington Wrestlers Win All Valley Holiday Duals Tournament

Garrett Hastings wins his 100th career match.

In a matchup of some of the state's best wrestling teams, #6 Farmington won the All Valley Holiday Duals Tournament on Saturday. The Indians knocked off Bristol Central in the opening round 61-16. FHS took down Cheshire 69-9.  In the Semifinals Farmington defeated #9 Hand 42-29. The finals featured a battle of unbeaten teams as #6 Farmington shocked #3 Windham 44-33. Captain Chris Thomas led the way for Farmington with 4 pins on the day.  

Head Coach Eric Misko was excited by his team's performance.

"There was some great competition and exciting matches today. Our guys pulled together as a team and these young men really finished in some big spots for us. It's great to head into the holidays with some nice wins like that."

Farmington's Garrett Hastings won his 100th career match today with a pin of Windham's Juan Almonte at 2:22. Farmington was down 33-32 at the time and Hasting's pin put them ahead for good.  Joe Carpino capped the day with a pin for the win and the match went to Farmington 44-33.
