Indians Top Maloney 17-7

Winning streak continues at Meriden.

The Farmington High Indians continued their winning ways with a 17-7 win over the Maloney Spartans on Friday night at Falcon Field in Meriden.

Junior running back Ivan Guadalupe led the offense with 113 yards rushing and scored a touchdown in the first quarter.  Also supporting the Indians on the offense were Jeremy Buck and Mitch Berlandy with 31 yards and 28 yards rushing respectively.  Senior Tyler Chaia, returning from an injury, scored a field goal in the third quarter to help secure the win.

Senior Captain Tom Stevens led the Indians' defensive line with nine tackles as the line held the Spartans to only touchdown.  Mitch Berlandy, Colin Grattan and Kenny Jones had a total of 25 tackles between them to contain the Spartans' offense.

The Indians are on the road again this Friday, September 28 as they face Bristol Central High School at Muzzy Field at 7:00pm.
