Indians Win Season Opener Against EO Smith

Farmington High School football starts the season with 28-6 win.

The Indians football team won their season-opener with a 28-6 win over EO Smith on Friday Night before a very large and enthusiastic crowd.

Senior Captain Mitch Berlandy led the attack early in the game with a 5 yard touchdown. Also on the attack was junior running back Ivan Guadalupe as he rushed for 95 yards and added two more touchdowns.  Junior quarterback Jeremy Buck had a rushing touchdown and a 2 point conversion as well.  Junior wide receivers Kenny Jones and Anthony Carpenter gained 59 and 57 yards respectively contributing to the Indians' successful outing.

Sophomore Jack Sucato and seniors Mitch Berlandy and Mike Berlandy led the team in tackles as the defense held EO Smith to just six points.  Senior Captains Jo Fillian, Tom Stevens and Brandon Marquis kept the opposing offensive line busy as they sacked the quarterback multiple times.

The Tribe travels to Falcon Field in Meriden as they face Maloney High School this Friday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m.  Come on out and support the boys!
