Avon resident Mike Golic talks a lot about the NFL at ESPN.
But when he announced one of the newest players to the Pittsburgh Steelers roster on ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning in April, it was a particularly special moment for him.
The Steelers signed his son, Mike Golic Jr. as a free agent on April 27. Now Golic Jr. is a month into training camp, following in the footsteps of his father and uncle, Bob Golic, who both had extensive NFL careers. Mike Golic played for the Miami Dolphins (1993), the Philadelphia Eagles (1987-1992) and the Houston Oilers (1987), according to nfl.com. Bob Golic played for the Los Angeles Raiders (1989-92), the Cleveland Browns (1982-88) and the New England Patriots (1979-1981), according to nfl.com.
