Accomplishment: Irene received the following 2010 Year End Equestrian awards: United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Zone 1 (New England) Champion of Children's Jumper division, Connecticut Hunter Jumper Association (CHJA) Champion of Open Equitation 15-17 division, Connecticut Horse Shows Association (CHSA) Champion of Open Hunt Sear Equitation 15-17 division

Key to Awesomeness: Irene has been devoted to her horses and her sport since she was very young. The many afternoons and weekends training and competing have taught her about responsibility, time management and commitment. An accomplished musician and honors student, she has managed to balance her equestrian sport with a very demanding high school curriculum including numerous Advanced Placement courses. She is a member of the Chamber Singers, National Honor Society, Tri-M Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. Irene trains with Cara Chapel and David Wilbur at Folly Farm in Simsbury.
