Farmington Bank/Vantis Life Team Advances to Playoffs

14 and 15-year-old team finishes regular season with win over Avon.

The 14/15-year-old Farmington II team from the Farmington Bank/Vantis Life Baseball League finished its regular season on Saturday with an 11-5 win over Avon. The team has had an outstanding season finishing in fifth place out of 27 teams in the Junior division with a record of 9-3-2. Their three losses were all by only one run.

The team is comprised of 12 out of the 16 players Farmington High School freshman team as well as three other players. It has been a very strong team this summer. On the team are Jason Barnes, Jeff Crook, John Deroy, Derek Fern, Mike Fineberg, Ethan Finn, Brian Fox, Max Germano, Andy Goss, Joey Harrell, Tyler Johnson, Elijah Sicklick, Mark Steele, Mike Weber and Connor Welsh.

The team’s has earned a first round bye for the playoffs and their first game will be at park at Grocki field on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Visit www.jcblinfo.com for more information and to follow the Farmington teams throughout the playoffs.
