Farmington Runners Excel at Hershey Games

Seven locals took home first place finishes.

It was a day full of pride for the Town of Farmington being represented by our athletes! The Hershey’s Track and Field State Games held at Willow Brook Park on Saturday, June 23, was full of excitement as seven individuals/teams from Farmington took home a first place finish in various categories.

Among them were: Sophie Shack (100m), Kyla Gallagher (200m), Gabrielle Butler, Gillian Gereg, Samantha Vertefeuille, Asia Vibert (4x100m Relay), Floyd Teyah (200m), Michael Bobylov, Jack Calcavecchia, Mitchell Guglielmo, Andrew Van de Mark (4x100m Relay), Jared Lomangino (1600m), Evan Ferrigno (Long Jump).  Five of the individuals will soon find out if they move on to the North American Finals held at Hershey PA  to represent the New England Team! The relay teams do not advance at the 9-10 yr old levels and end their run (no pun intended) as State Champions!
