Golfing with Firefighters – Friday, July 20th

With dry air and nicer weather on the way are you looking for a good excuse to take the day off Friday?  There are still spots available to play golf with the East Farmington Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, July 20th at Tunxis Plantation Country Club beginning at 11 a.m.

A $150 contribution gets you 18 holes of golf (Scramble Format).  Complimentary food and beverage served on the course.  And following golf, there will be a reception dinner held at Tunxis Plantation with bocce ball and cocktails. 

For those that don’t play golf or cannot make it, you can still support the volunteer firefighters with a sponsorship or donation – see attached .pdf file.

This annual fundraiser helps the volunteer firefighters raise necessary funds for the department, and also provides them with the opportunity to meet the families, friends and businesses in the community that make the Town of Farmington so great. 

In the State of Connecticut there are 26,000 firefighters and 22,000 of them are volunteers.  In the Town of Farmington, at East Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, there are 45 volunteers that serve you, your neighbors, businesses, visitors and more. 

Since 1944 The East Farmington Fire Department has been serving the Town of Farmington and today we respond to more than 1,500 calls per year. 

Volunteerism does work; however we cannot do it on our own – we need your support through fundraisers like this golf outing; a fundraiser that began 21 years ago.
