Unionville Victorious Over Wolcott

Senior Legion Baseball Unionville Post 32 on 2012-11-07

Unionville defeated Wolcott Wednesday night July 11, under the lights at Tunxis Mead Park by a score of 6-2.

Wolcott jumped out to an early lead by posting two runs in the top of the first inning.  In their half of the first frame, Unionville came back to put up three and never looked back as they notched a total of three more by the game’s end. Wolcott had runners in scoring position a number of times throughout the contest but the Unionville pitching and defense shut them out for the last six innings.

Chad Morin was the starting pitcher and Brian Wiegard relieved in the second.  The duo combined to strike out seven. The Unionville defense turned two double plays.
