UVIA Summer Movie Series and New Website

Series offers family-friendly movies, popcorn and ways to give back to UVIA at Friendly's.

The Unionville Village Improvement Association is proud to present classic family fun for the entire family at its 2nd annual summer “Movies under the Stars” series. Movies are held at the Union School Athletic Field and begin at dusk. Bring your own chairs, blankets and snacks. If it rains, movies will be held in the Union School gym.

Admission is free. This year’s series is sponsored by UVIA, Farmington Community Services, and , which is also providing free popcorn during the shows. The portable projection screen was purchased through the generosity of UVIA, the Farmington Community Chest and Farmington EXCL.

of Unionville is also hold a fundraising opportunity to dine out and support UVIA. Have dinner or ice cream at the Unionville Friendly's before or after each of the three movies, and Friendly's will donate 20% of your total check to UVIA. Please go to www.uviact.org and print out a coupon for the movie you are attending and present it when you receive your bill. Thanks for your support. Coupons are also available in the lobbies of the Farmington Town Hall, Library, and community Center.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 American science fiction film co-produced and directed by Steven Spielberg. It tells the story of a lonely boy who befriends an extraterrestrial that is stranded on Earth.

The Incredibles - August 3

The Incredibles is a 2004 a computer-animated action comedy superhero film about a family of superheroes who are forced to hide their powers. Produced by Pixar, The father's desire to help people draws the entire family into a battle with the villain and his killer robot.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang - August 17

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is a 1968 musical loosely based on Ian Fleming's novel. When an eccentric professor invents a revolutionary car, a foreign government becomes interested in it, and resorts to skulduggery to get their hands on it.
