Adam Lanza and his stolen guns vs Islamic Extremist and their hijacked planes

Why are we asked to ignore the actions of 19 terrorist on 9.11.01 as NOT representative of Radical Islam [the political ideology that works toward the reuniting the Umma under a Caliphate] or Islamic Extremism [the scriptural / historical interpretations of their faith which require believers to “Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme” 2:193 and requires the adoption of Sharia - to say Sharia Law is redundant Sharia is the moral code and religious law of Islam]. But, when Adam Lanza, a boy with a high probability of a mental illness who after an extended infatuation with mass murder and mass murderers, kills his mother, steals her legally owned “guns”, and macassars 26 innocents, we are asked to paint all legal “guns”, magazines [not clips], ammunition, gun owners, and gun Rights with the blood of these innocents and responsibility for this tragedy? Talk about cognitive dissonance and conflicting ideas, beliefs, values and emotional reactions. In the former, the actions of a few are to be excused as deviant and NOT representative of Islamic Extremists or Radical Islam and in the latter the action of a single arguably mentally ill individual is to be taken as prima facie evidence that a Right which “shall not be infringed” should be infringed without proper Constitutional due process. At first blush the two behaviors and their consequences would appear inconsistent but if you are a Progressive / Socialist and you have a “Forward Moving” agenda to “Fundamentally Transform” America, they both can be used to advance your agenda, inconsistencies be dammed. Lets take a look.

Consider the media’s support of radical Islam especially as it is manifest internationally thru support for the Muslim Brotherhood in particular and the “Arab Spring” in general and domestically thru the single sourcing of the “Islamic perspective” to The Council on American–Islamic Relations (CAIR). Don’t take note of the fact that CAIR’s Dallas / Ft. Worth, Texas branch’s [which was involved with the Hamas linked Holy Land Foundation’s criminal activity] former Vice President, Ghassan Hitto, has been named Prime Minister for the Syrian Islamist rebel government which has tenuous control of the Syrian Rebel Army, but I digress.

I will leave why the media is so enamored with Islamic Extremist for another day but the fact that they are so enamored is indisputable by any objective consumer of the mainstream media. When 19 terrorist perpetrated mass murder on 9.11 we were told by the media to ignore the fact that they were Islamic Extremist with political and religious agendas. They were individuals no different that Christian Fundamentalists or Orthodox Jews, after all Islam is a religion of peace. Lets look at some source material to question that assertion. Based on my limited knowledge of Arabic these translations do not “spin” the topic, but please decide for yourself. “Allah is an enemy to unbelievers” 2:98. “One unbelievers is the curse of Allah” 2:161. “Slay them wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter” 2:191. “Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah's religion reigns supreme” 2:193. “Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject faith fight in the cause of evil” 4:76. Just a few examples [I could list many more] of Sura that can be read as calls to action against the Kafir [anyone who is not a believer]. But more importantly, I have visited Madrassas in Pakistan starting in early 80’s at the height of the Mujahideen’d war against the CCCP and more recently mosques in the UAE and Qatar where these verses are taught as rational for armed struggle against unbelievers and students are encouraged to act in accordance with these teachings. Today, not Old Testament time or the time of the Prophet [peace be upon him] but Today! Yet these facts rarely if ever find their way in the mainstream media because they do not support the Progressive / Socialist narrative.

Nor does a discussion of who is the Muslim Brotherhood, when was it was founded and what are its goals. Founded in 1928 after the collapse and breakup of the Ottoman Empire by Hassan al-Banna, who wrote extensively about the restoration of the Caliphate [an Islamic state led by a supreme religious as well as political leader known as a caliph meaning literally a successor, i.e. a successor to the prophet Muhammad] The Brotherhood's credo was and is, "Allah is our objective; the Quran is our law, the Prophet is our leader; Jihad is our way; and death for the sake of Allah is the highest of our aspirations." Call me ethnocentric and culturally biased but the credo is not exactly a battle cry for a Jeffersonian Democracy!

If you need more examples try Major Nidal Malik Hasan and his murder of 13 and wounding of 32 which was characterized as an act of “workplace violence” even after he reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar!" [the Takbīr - God is Greatest - in Arabic] before opening fire at his Texas post. Or, the granting Miranda Rights to foreign national and enemy combatant, Abu Ghaith, the one time al-Qaida spokesperson and son-in-law of Osama bin Laden. Both are granted exceptions to the Collivest Rule because they do not advance the narrative.

The media ignores the context of an event like the behavior of 19 individuals on 9.11 because it taints the Collective and derails the narrative. Yet when it suits their purpose, as noted in an earlier post to disarm the sheep so as to make them easier to shear or dress, then the actions of an individual can be used to condemn a group or a Right so long as doing so is in the best interest of the Collective [as defined by right thinking properly educated elites]. I long ago stopped looking for rational consistency from Collectivests. But if you are the average Joe or Joanne trying to make ends meet, raise a family, and working towards a better future can you truly say “yup that makes sense, the double standard is fair, it works for me and I can teach my children that this is how they should behave!” If so, don’t bother reading anymore of my posts they will just tick you off. If no, what else might you reconsider?
