Governor Mao Loy and the Democrats Lie .... Again

When is a tax increase not a tax increase?  No seriously when is a tax increase not a tax increase? When Progressives say it is not with a straight face and expect the Sheeple to believe it. Or when Progressives don't actually increase a tax but reduce the amount that the government “reimburses” hospitals for money they already spent to treat the poor [charity].  According to the Governor and most of the Democrats in the CGA, if they reduce the money they reimburse CT hospitals for treating the poor and expect them to provide more charity care to the poor, it is not technically raising taxes even though at the end of the day the hospitals have $400 million less than they did last year.  

Sound fair after all the Governor promised not to raise taxes but he never promised not to reduce reimbursements, reduce state aid to city and towns or increase fees! A tax is only a tax if they call it a tax! So shut up sit down and pay up!  You were lied to!  No reasonable Citizen believes that extending a tax that was scheduled to expire is not raising taxes. No reasonable Citizen believes that reducing the amount of money that the state reimburses hospitals for the charity care they provide does not have the same effect as increasing taxes on hospitals.  No responsible householder would say their family budget is balanced if only you don't count the bills in the top draw that I haven't opened yet!

Progressive redefine words and voters let them get away with it!  At the end of the day, hospitals are getting less money to provide more charity care to more people. Is that what you truly thought that the Governor meant when he said he wasn't going to raise taxes again this year?  So why are you going to vote for Comrade Mao Loy and Democrats in 2014?
