On Guns, Sheep, and Progressive Elites

Rep. Mike Demicco, Rep. Brian Becker, Sen. Beth Bye, and Sen. Terry Gerratana the recent Patch article where you all attempt to explain your gun rights infringement vote was weak at best.

Lets try a short history lesson in two parts to show you why. First, four simple words “shall not be infringed”. In 1791 even a 6th Grader knew the meaning of these words. They also knew that they were not about hunting, sports or personnel protection [although if you lived on the frontier they would have said duuh!] They KNEW because their family had lived thru a successful armed struggle for their freedom against an oppressive King who claimed to rule by Divine Right [so shut up, sit down, do what you are told, and pay your taxes - see a pattern yet?]! The 6th Grader knew that when strung together, these four simple words formed one of the most powerful admonishments of future tyrants ever written by a free people.

In typical Progressive / Socialist fashion you have attempted to change the definition of words and then teach these new definitions to children in the public schools and the general populus thru your pet media. You say “common sense”, “reasonable”, “normal”, and from “a living document”. These four little words don’t mean what you think they mean, they mean what I tell you they mean [can anyone say 1984]. In addition to creating compliant clueless drones, the goal appears to be to create citizens who have no idea of self sufficiency and self reliance. In your world citizens become Sheeple. They sit around passively waiting for State sanctioned first responders without whom they are helpless to deal with anything adverse in their environment. These new sheep are totally dependent on the State and because of their dependence they can be nudged, pushed, shoved, and now if necessary shot into compliance [gotta love Cass Sunstein]. Foul you say, we are doing it to protect the sheep [oops I mean the people] we have to DO SOMETHING! The sheep are kindly animals but they don’t know what is best for them and we their enlighten betters need to guide them [sometimes harshly] “Forward” to a better future [it is our divine right granted to us by Gaia not your God] . If you were this blunt about your endgame you would have far fewer supporters even here in the land of steady takers.

Though it is politically incorrect [a circumstance which frankly never governs my posts] but more importantly morally reprehensible unless it truly rises to the level of the Shoah [most such events being perpetrated by some flavor of Progressive, Socialist or Communist], comparing events to the Holocaust is generally wrong. However, pointing out antecedent behaviors of the governing Socialists Regimes can be instructive. Spend a few days reading / studying the exhibits at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem [yes Israel] and you will learn just how insidious the National Socialist German Workers' Parties’ action were (Yup the Nazi party - they don’t teach that in public schools much any more especially the part about the Nazi Party’s platform that promised free health care for all but I digress].

Identify an “other”, blame them for a problem - real or imaginary, hammer the talking points in the media [are you listening Hartford Courant], slowly pass laws to increasingly isolate and infringe [there’s that word again] rights, freedoms, and privileges, register / publicly humiliate and brand them as different and dangerous until most people believe what is being said or are too afraid to stand up and defend someone else’s rights [Pastor Niemöller was right], until finally .... History has patterns. You can write them out of the Common Core and redefine events in real time in your newly approved on-line Google textbooks but the patterns remain. Progressives want to remake the world “closer to the heart’s desire” [see the Fabian Window] by creating the “modern man” in a modern world where the State is Sovereign not the Citizen. A world where rights are granted [and rescinded] by the State not by God. But you can’t make an omelet [oops a progressive forward moving modern world] without crack a couple hundred million eggs [ask Hitler, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Guevara, Pol Pot, Kim Il-sung, Ceaușescu, etc]. You can create a debt and fiat based money paradigm [to enslave the makers], crash the currency through quantitative easing and profligate wasteful spending [to buy votes from the takers], create a police surveillance state [for your safety of course], and indoctrinate [oops educate] the next generations [to think that you can’t build that without the State’s permission or assistance].

But once the sheep lose confidence in the monetary system that you have created [stay tuned coming soon] or you begin your finale push “Forward”, your house of cards begins to fall [the last bubble, pump and dump in the stock market soon to be proof]. When that happens the question will be who will rebuild America? Will you be allowed to complete your “fundamental transformation” of America into a radical egalitarian collectivist state [call it Progressive, Socialist, Communist, Statist it still smells the same - please don’t dis the rose!] one with social justice, collective salvation, reparation for past sins as defined by properly-educated right-thinking Gaia-worshiping elites. Or will the good-old boys and girls who read the Bible and Constitution, go to church, temple or mosque, keep their Oaths, and raise their children without the State and oh yes own Black Scary Rifles & Guns! It gives new meaning to the saying “may you live in interesting times”. But in the meantime the PTB will engage in progressive infringement, wait for the next “crisis” and repeat until you functionally eliminate the right of self defense and make the people totally reliant on State sanctioned dues paying first responders. No matter that they never come in time but are happy to draw chalk lines around the dead body and work overtime for six months trying to figuring out what happened! So sad but what’s a few more cracked eggs?

Now a question of our glorious senators and representatives to the CGA, what is the end point when it comes to “common sense gun control”. Whenever I ask the question especially after the above, they whip out their well worn copies of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and undertake an ad hominem attack, tin foil hatter [where does one buy tin foil nowadays I’m getting low], conspiracy theorist [oops it not a theory if there is a consensus about the evidence - kinda like Global Cooling, oops meant to say Global Warming, oops again, how about Climate Change - yeah that will work, the climate is always changing so we can’t be contradicted by the facts on that one!], member of a hate group [because I use the phrase the Citizen is Sovereign he must be a member of the Posse Comitatus or a Tea Bagger because he has a Gadsden Flag on his bumper [anyone know where I can find a Moultrie Flag decal] or any of a number of other charges [soon to be actionable]! But never an answer to the question WHAT IS ENOUGH? You and I both know the true answer is that sheep should not have guns, that only the shepherds [the State] and wolves [Criminals] should have guns. Sheep are for shearing and an occasional dinner. I get a variation on the response when I ask them about the number of laws, size of government or amount of taxes I should pay [they would love to say it’s all mine, mine, mine oops should have said the government’s, that may work for the gulls in Finding Nemo but not in public for an elected official!]

So to our Glorious elected elites. Enough. Your job is to represent us not lead us. I and many like me, don’t want to go where you want to lead. The world you want to create is a terrible place for the 99% [not the party apparatchik like you]. It will only end in sadness [gotta love Bartok] and the deaths of millions more - oh I forgot you come from better stock, you are better educated, richer, more powerful than anyone else who has ever tried it before and more importantly the pile of bone that you are standing on is higher than ever before so you can see “Forward” further than any other dictator [oops representative of the People] has ever seen before, it should work this time. Lets hear it for Social Engineering, Choice Architecture, Agenda 21, the Common Core Curriculum, the Brain Mapping Project [gotta figure out why people are born not supporting the collective], the murder of undesired children in the womb, Infanticide, and that oldie but a goodie Eugenics or a Al Gore likes to call it Trans-Humanism. You will be able to overcome human nature and remake mankind successfully where no one else in recorded history has ever been able to make forced collectivization work successfully [ask Nimrod how that hole bricks instead of stones thing worked for him].

Your hubris is amazing. Your goal is frightening! But please have the intestinal fortitude to tell me and the other Sovereign Citizens of the state what is the end goal? No guns? Total control of every aspect of citizens’ lives, and an effective 100% tax rate? If not what is the end point you are regulating us towards? What is? While I still have cash and free choice, lunch is on me if you have fortitude to name it!
