Firetruck ride to school

It sure beats the bus! Four Union School students very excited to get on Tunxis Hose Comapny No. 1's enormous neon yellow firetruck this morning with sirens and horns blaring and lights flashing and ride to school like never before. Dorothy and Jon Fojtik won the experience for their two sons and their friends at last month's Adult Spelling Bee to benefit the Farmington Public School Foundation. Thank you to the very kind firemen who made the morning so much fun for all of Union School. We were all excited to have WFSB Channel 3 come out to cover the event and put it on the 5:30 news! And thanks to friendly and gifted photographer Lisa Brisson for covering us for Farmington LIFE, too.
