At today's May Day celebration each grade performed their own May Day dance, beautifully accompanied by third and fourth grade strings players, to the delight of watching friends and family. The “sword” dancers wove the Maypole. This is a long standing and beloved Union School tradition. Music teacher Kate Smallidge added to the tradition by inviting fourth graders to choreograph third grade classes' dance. Thanks to Union School music teachers Janet Fantozzi and Miss Smallidge and all the students for another memorable May Day celebration.
