“Sleeping Bow,” an original drama starring 41 fourth grade students from Union School in Farmington, Connecticut, gave all of these Suzuki strings students a chance to showcase their abilities playing violin, viola, and cello. Their teacher, Janet Fantozzi, wrote the play. In the title role was soloist and advanced violin student Jessica Hua, who beautifully played the Country Dance by C.M. von Weber. Princess Bow becomes Sleeping Bow when a bad fairy’s spell puts her to sleep; Prince of Good Tone searches everywhere for the music that will wake her. True to any Suzuki strings effort, it is when the company plays Mozart's Twinkle Twinkle Little Star that Princess Bow awakes.
