Annual Farmington Cares Day Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers needed to help residents in their homes and yards.

The Annual Farmington Cares Day is occurring on Saturday, June 2, 2012. The day consists of volunteers dedicated to assisting town residents in need of home repairs and light landscaping projects.

The Board of Directors of Community Chest, Farmington High School students, and others in the community traditionally provide volunteer support. This year Community Chest will welcome a group of volunteers from Farmington Bank.  Additionally Farmington Bank through its Farmington Foundation has provided financial support to this event. Ames True Temper is also donating a supply of tools for use on landscaping projects.

Farmington Community Chest is seeking additional volunteers experienced in plumbing, carpentry & painting as well as those willing to lend or donate tools and with access to trucks.

A barbeque lunch will be provided for all volunteers and recipients of work at the Community Center on New Britain Ave at the completion of projects.

For more information, contact Farmington Community Services at 860-675-2390.
