Dave Eveleth Wins Exchange Club’s Book of Golden Deeds Award

Past president of Rotary and Farmington Land Trust and former Board of Education member recognized for service to the town.

Dave Eveleth is this year’s recipient of the Farmington Exchange Club’s Book of Golden Deeds Award an acknowledgment of outstanding service to the community. The award recognizes dedicated volunteers who give endless hours of their time and talent towards making their community a better place to live.

A resident of Farmington and Unionville for more than 60 years, Dave has demonstrated selfless dedication to the community of Farmington as a longstanding member and Past President of both the Farmington Rotary Club and The Farmington Land Trust. Dave also served several years on the Farmington Board of Education and the High School Building Committee.

Additionally, and most notably, has been the selfless donation of his time and expertise as an architect toward the design and construction of 2 Pavilions on the “Rails to Trails” project at Coppermine Road and River Road. His management of these projects also included fundraising, purchasing materials and coordinating the work parties throughout the construction process. Dave was similarly instrumental in obtaining the approval and designing and constructing the Richard Noyes footbridge which connects 2 Land Trust owned parcels and enables walkers to enjoy the beauty of the Farmington River.  The residents of the Town of the Town of Farmington will enjoy these facilities for decades to come.
