Mike Andreas to be Awarded Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds Award

Dedicated volunteer recognized for "untiring devotion to the betterment of Farmington."

The Exchange Club of Farmington  has announced that Mike Andreas is this year’s recipient of the Book of Golden Deeds Award, “an acknowledgment of outstanding service to the community.  The award recognizes dedicated volunteers who have given endless hours of their time and talent towards making their community a better place to live.”

Bea Stockwell, Chair of the Book of Golden Deeds Committee said Andreas “is an exceptional choice. He exhibits leadership in all of the activities he encounters. He is a positive force in our community and has always been since he moved to Farmington.”

“His service commitment to the Town of Farmington spans 30 years, beginning shortly after moving to town in 1976. Mike served for many years on the Farmington Town Council, the Farmington Village Green and Library Association, The Barney Renovation Committee, the Main Library Building Committee, the Exchange Club of Farmington, as a driver and board member for Meals on Wheels Program -- to name just a few.  Most of these commitments found Mike as a chairperson or president.  In all of these endeavors Mike has and continues to demonstrate untiring devotion to the betterment of Farmington.  His quiet, effective and diplomatic approach earned him respect of those around him and was instrumental to the success of many projects that the Town of Farmington truly benefits from.”
