Olympic Taekwondo Event Raises Funds for CCMC

$3,492 raised during Kicking for Miracles event Sunday

The Olympic Taekwondo Academy’s Kicking for Miracles charity event Sunday raised $3,429.53 for the CT Children’s Medical Center. More than 500 boards were broken by members of the community, as well as Olympic Taekwondo Academy students and masters.

Olympic Taekwondo Academy owner Master Kiye Cho said the event stemmed from the responsibility of taekwondo students to be good citizens and help those in need.

“My hope is that our students see what a big difference they can make in the lives of others," Cho said. "We are honored to give back to the community that supports us by helping raise money for children in need of medical treatment.”
