9/11; Farmington School Board and Town Council Meetings; High School Sports

What's going on in Farmington Sept. 9-15, 2013?

Happy Monday, Farmington!

There's a lot going on in town this week. Here are some of the highlights. 

Another school year has begun in Farmington, which means that a lot is going on at the Board of Education level. If you want an update on the schools, you might be interested in checking out the school board meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. at Farmington High School.  

On Tuesday, there's a Town Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town hall. 


Farmington High School boys and girls cross country will race against Newington and Conard on Sept. 10 at Winding Trails in Farmington at 3:45 p.m.  On the same day, varsity field hockey will face Windsor at 3:45 p.m. 

Wednesday is 9/11 and there is a memorial service in Avon at the Avon Volunteer Fire Department headquarters at 25 Darling Dr. in Avon at 8:30 a.m. Do you know of any other memorial services happening in Farmington or the area for 9/11? Later in the week, the Farmington varsity girls volleyball team will take on East Lyme on its home court at the high school on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m.

On Friday the 13th, varsity field hockey will play South Windsor at 3:45 p.m. at the upper field at the high school, girls varsity soccer will match up against Northwest Catholic at Tunxis Mead Park at 4 p.m. and varsity girls swimming and diving will compete against Plainville at the Miss Porter's School pool.
