Bill Wadsworth Endorses Bill Baker for Board of Education

Former State Representative Bill Wadsworth endorses William J. Baker for Farmington Board of Education

I am writing to enthusiastically support William J. Baker for Farmington Board of Education.

William Baker’s professional background provides a skill set that is in demand on any Board of Education and he will serve Farmington well. Bill sets goals and high standards in all that he does. His standards and work ethic will ensure collaboration of all parties: parents, teachers, staff and administrators in the education process; believing communication is vital to the process. Bill will help the district’s elected leadership communicate effectively, while remaining focused on results in the classroom and in the budget. He is an insightful and strong leader who will not give up when faced with adversity and making the tough choices that are needed to keep our schools moving into the 21st Century.

Bill is in this race for all the right reasons and doesn’t have an agenda. Bill believes he can make positive contributions to the board’s management style, and improve the environment for students at all levels. His experience as a volunteer on various boards and committees within the Farmington community is just one example of his commitment to giving back and serving as a role model. But I must say Bill has sacrificed for us all as a member of the United States Army in various capacities for over 19 years, to include being awarded the Bronze Star for his actions in Iraq. His commitment and service is second to none.

Bill is married to a public school teacher and his daughter is currently attending college majoring in special and elementary education. With several advanced degrees himself, Bill fully understands the benefits, impact and importance of a quality education for our students and what it takes to achieve the highest results.
