Mike Clark Endorses Jeff Apuzzo for Town Council

One of the key reasons that Farmington is able to maintain its outstanding schools and town services at such a low tax rate is the fact that we have been able to attract and retain businesses to our town.  This balance between residential taxes and corporate taxes is one of the significant challenges faced by town government.  Farmington has been very successful at meeting this challenge and is used as a model by many other towns in Connecticut.  During my six years as Town Council Chairman, I often relied upon the advice and counsel of Jeff Apuzzo in making key decisions concerning economic development issues.  Jeff has served on Farmington’s Economic Development Commission (EDC) since 2000, and for many of those years been the Chair of the EDC.  His leadership has been a key aspect of our town’s remarkable fiscal success.

I have also known Jeff as a personal friend for almost 20 years.  He is an attorney who works in Farmington.  He has been an active public servant, serving on our Charter Revision Committee as well as the EDC.  He and his wife and two daughters have lived in Farmington for over 23 years – so he has considerable knowledge of the community and its strengths and needs.

Jeff is currently a candidate for the Town Council in the second district.  He is an outstanding candidate who will bring considerable background and knowledge of economic development issues to the Town Council.  I offer Jeff my strongest endorsement without reservation – I can assure you that he will be receiving my vote on Election Day – and I hope you will offer your support as well.
