<p>Irving A. Robbins Middle School serves about 670 students in grades 7 and 8 under the direction of Principal Kelly Lyman. The school aims to help students adjust as they transition from childhood toward adolescence by using team teaching.</p> <p>At this level, foreign languages, applied physics and engineering, health, wellness, physical education, and family and consumer science are introduced into the curriculum; Latin is offered as an elective. Test scores remain high at the middle school and tend to increase from seventh to eighth grade. Many of Robbins' teachers are award-winning or state-recognized for excellence.</p>
